Gourmet Evening19:00 on Wednesday 16th April 2014 Florian Restaurant
We are returning to the Florian Restaurant for this year’s gourmet evening teamed with wines from the Quinta do Quetzal. Florian needs no introduction since Piet Warink, chef, and Karin Mirande, front of house, have been part of pleasing the Algarve dining scene for more than ten years.
Quinta do Quetzal www.quintadoquetzal.com will probably be new to most of us being a high tech winery located in the heart of the Baixo Alentejo in Vidigueira and is owned by Dutch couple Inge and Cees de Bruin. Their wines have won many prizes including the Concours Mondial Bruxelles 2012 Gold for their Quinta do Quetzal Reserva 2008 Red. Reto Jorg will be presenting their wines.
Chef Piet has tasted all the wines that we will enjoy on the evening and has created a wonderful, complementary menu. Prior to dinner we will be taking wine from the Guadelupe range accompanied by canapés outside the restaurant on the sheltered terrace.

As always, you will have the opportunity to purchase the wines tasted at excellent prices. There is no need to bring payment, order forms will be provided on the night and you simply give your completed order to Reto who will arrange to invoice you and deliver the wines to a central location. The Gourmet Dinner is a special occasion and, invariably, numbers have to be limited due to the size of the restaurant. For this reason we ask that if you wish to attend please respond as soon as possible with your payment for €75 per person. We expect this event to be fully subscribed and will need to operate on a first come first served policy. Member’s bookings will take precedence over guests but we hope to be able to satisfy everybody.
